"Thank you Carene, the stay exceeded expectations, and made our first ever AirBNB experience sparkle. You were incredibly flexible and helpful - in letting us book both rooms for one night, in arranging for us to arrive early and have access to rooms, in providing information, and then for letting simply enjoy the delights of your houseboat home for a day. Grandson Ian had a blast - it was perfect in every for his first ever international experience."

"Carene's place in Victoria BC is as lovely as reviews and descriptions say it is! Walking distance - along waterfront pedestrian path - from Port Angeles to Victoria ferry, clean, well appointed, well maintained, secure, quiet. Fisherman's Wharf location, with its pedestrian amenities, is a unique and casual setting for visitors to Victoria. Life aboard is delightful - private, scenic, very homey and comfortable, away from "typical tourist venues", yet close enough to walk to inner harbor, Chinatown, government buildings and museums. There is a water taxi just outside the B&B's front door for those wishing to ride to inner and upper harbor taxi stops. There is a neighborhood park just across the road from the wharf area. The coffee shop where Carene makes arrangements for guests to enjoy organic breakfast items and delicious coffees is a 5-minute walk across the park "to the other side". Carene herself is warm, friendly and very well organized. She responds to guest inquiries quickly, and on meeting her she efficiently introduces you to the ins-and-outs of staying aboard her houseboat home, then offers maps, information and suggestions to help you plan your stay. Rooms have small refrigerators, Carene provides tea and coffee and fresh milk/cream, as well as cups, glasses. There is easy access to electric water kettle and hair dryer. Each guest room contains one queen bed, and has a small balcony with table and chairs so you can sit and enjoy the waterfront houseboat neighborhood. Each room has a private en suite bathroom with shower/tub. It is no wonder the B&B rooms are booked out well into the future. If you are wanting a unique experience to sample what it's like to be a live aboard in Victoria harbor - this is it! Plan early ... you'll love it. It's worth waiting for..."

"What a lovely experience! Carene welcomed us graciously and told us everything we needed to know. The room was decorated beautifully and she provided fruit, coffee, tea, and milk. Woke up to tea on the patio overlooking the wharf which was stunning, then had breakfast at the cafe down the street for the meal that was included. What a cute place! Very friendly workers and delicious food. Overall a great experience and will hopefully be returning soon!"

"What an AMAZING experience!! We met with Carene when we arrived. She showed us to the room and then toured us in the rest of her lovely home. Carene made us feel like we were truly good friends coming to visit rather than just BNB guests. We found her warm and inviting and she made sure we had all of the necessary items to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Carene intuitively provides that great mix of privacy and engagement. She was able to provide excellent guidance for food and entertainment. One evening we were able to spend with her at one of the lounges enjoying an act that she had recommended. Again, it was great and exactly what my wife and I were hoping for in an evening. There is more than one BNB in Victoria but I would hesitate to think there is a better one. My wife and I highly recommend this home and this hostess."

"Carene's B&B floating boat home is a dream come true! We spent two incredible nights here and highly recommend it to everyone who's looking for a beautiful, unique, and convenient place to stay in the Fisherman's Wharf area of Victoria. It's super-easy to access to fresh seafood/restaurant spots (Breakwater Cafe/ILl Covo), and the front-door water taxi service is a must for visitors ($5; takes you to most of the spots in Downtown Victoria). Carene is a gracious and thorough host - you get a warm welcome and plenty of breakfast items during your stay. I can't wait to come back and stay here again!"

"Carene met us punctually and immediately made us feel very welcome. She helped us get our bearings explaining everything thoroughly. There was another couple checking in to the room next door at the same time. Carene made us all feel special and helped us settle in quickly. Sleeping on a float house was amazing. The wharf quieted down by 8-9 pm. Taking the water taxis' from the dock was very cool. We loved the interior spaces - serene, stylish with all the conveniences. Carene took us up to tour her living space - lovely!"

"Carene was a very warm and gracious hostess. Her home was lovely and peaceful. She had breakfast and wine glasses for us. It was a pleasant, lovely time spent in her home. It was beautiful, clean, warm. It is better than the pictures online. Carene was wonderful. She had great suggestions for things to see, places to eat. We got a parking pass, which really helped. It was a great experience."

"Really a very unusual, terrific experience to be on a houseboat! I recommend this to anyone at least one time. The house is in a busy area with food vendors but it's very quiet at night. There is a water taxi immediately at the B & B doorstep that can take you to the Empress Hotel during the day, and there are several very good restaurants within walking distance. Carene is a very personable, likeable woman. The place is well cared for and comfortable. Carene was very pleasant and hospitable and very kind in guiding me into the location. The B&B is right in the thick of the tourist activities at Fisherman's Wharf, but there was no noise at all after the sun set. You are right at the beginning of Dallas Road, and it was very pleasant to go for a walk along the Dallas Road waterfront past Beacon Hill Park."

"I booked my relatives from Switzerland to stay on Carene's B&B float home in Victoria for a couple of nights. It was their first time in Victoria and using Airbnb for accommodations. They were completely impressed with Carene's float home. She made them feel right at home. They quite enjoyed the water taxi service and the close proximity to all the major hot spots in Central Victoria. If you want a unique experience, there is nothing better than staying right on the water with Carene as your host!"

"This is my first time using AirBnB and Carene was an awesome host. She helped me with all my questions. Suggested me some places to go. She's always available and reachable. I would recommend her place for anyone. Loveeeee it..."

"Carene made us feel very welcome! She was a lovely, friendly and respectful host. Everything we could need was provided and she checked in with us every so often to see if there was anything else she needed. She gave us a great orientation to the area with spot-on recommendations for food and activities. The float home is the coolest place I have ever stayed. We saw seals and otters in the harbour regularly. The wharf is so much fun to hang around and there is some great food right outside your doorstep. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone coming to Victoria! It made our trip so much more fun!"

Peter Quint, Oregon

"We so enjoyed the privacy in this wonderful setting, yet one step away we could be in the midst of all the fun on wharf, iced cream, fish and chips, seals being fed, and the amazing water taxis right at the front door. Our room was wonderful and quiet with everything modern. Carene helped a lot with suggestions about where to go and her her banana bread was awesome. We are already planning another trip and hope to be lucky enough to get the same accommodations. This was a wonderful experience"

"The neighborhood was wonderful and unique; a true gem! Located in Fisherman's Wharf, the float home is surrounded by other houses on water as well as numerous restaurants. There is also a daily water taxi and kayaking opportunities nearby. Location-wise, Carene's place is perfect. We also appreciated the fresh fruit and maps waiting for our arrival as well as the electric blankets! Thanks to Carene for her hospitality and her foresight"

"Carene was a wonderful host and we are absolutely in love with her unique home. She was very friendly and accommodating. She was there to meet us and had everything ready, including brochures for the Victoria area that were very helpful. The room was very comfortable and our daughter now wants to decorate her room the same way. We loved the snacks and fruit. Her float home is beautiful and absolutely made our trip to Victoria super special. We were very comfortable and it was nice to be in the heart of the pier area with seals in the water next to the pier, water taxis, and food options. We could walk to downtown easily and had a wonderful time. We really appreciate the opportunity Carene provided us by sharing her great home."

"Carene was an amazing host. She was very friendly and made great suggestions about the area. The place was fantastic! The float house is a very cool experience and in a really nice area to explore. Definitely the best place for a weekend getaway since its only a 4 min bike from the heart of downtown and nothing beats waking up to the ocean literally outside your window!"

Jess Smith, Vancouver

"We received a very warm welcome from Carene when we arrived at the floathouse in the wharf. She informed us about our room (setup w. beautiful linens, towels, tea/coffee, fresh fruit and yogurt), the area and great sights to see. Carene had a very open and caring demeanor, making us feel welcome to ask any questions throughout our stay. The wharf was very cozy. It is conveniently located close enough to downtown that you can comfortably come and go, by foot, bike or car. It also nice and quiet at night, as you are on the water. And there are even friendly wild seals you can buy fish for and feed! I 100% would recommend Carene's rooms, in fact, I already have..only 3 days after being back home."

"Thank you for everything Carene! You made my mom and I's trip very memorable and enjoyable. You made us feel very welcome and CARED for, something that only a special few can do. My mom and I wanted somewhere to calm and unwind and you provided the perfect place/atmosphere to do so. We have shared and will continue sharing your place, as you deserve all the business you can get! All the best, hope to see you again one day!" -Jess

"Fantastic location, warm hospitality and the finest comforts at a reasonable price! Superb stay and will return again! Carene is a wonderful host. I received a warm welcome upon arrival and she gave me a tour of the B&B facilities, guided me on my itinerary within my time and budget constraints. She was ever ready to help and go the extra mile! I decided to extend my stay for an extra night. Carene helped change my return ticket to Vancouver! This is a special place to unwind, disconnect from the daily hustle of life. The rooms are tastefully decorated, spacious, has a coffee machine, fruit and snack bars. Everything is carefully thought for! I would highly recommend this gorgeous place."

"My stay at Fisherman's Wharf Bed & Breakfast was wonderful in every way."

"Set amongst a community of float homes nestled on the edge of Victoria's Inner Harbour, the location is unique, scenic and convenient. It is just a 15 minute stroll along the waterfront from the dock where I arrived by float plane and even closer to the Straight of Jaun de Fuca and it's magnificent views."

"The accommodation is bright, tasteful and comfy. The guest rooms are on the main floor and the owner, Carene, lives upstairs. This means no steps to negotiate with luggage, as much privacy as you desire, and all the help you need close by."

"Carene was as friendly and welcoming as all the other reviewers have claimed. She has a special place and shares it with pride."

"I was there in late November, a time I would highly recommend for a combination of mild weather, greenery and tranquility."
